"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship." --Brené Brown
If there’s ever been a time in history for people to come together, this is it. We’ve seen and felt the pain of separation in so many ways over the past year or so—and many of us long for kind and loving relationships and ways of being. Together, we have the power to make deep and respectful relationships wherever we are—and as Brené wisely tells us that’s the very definition of connection.
Venerable women (and venerable men) connect--and are connectors. In addition to knowing the value of conversation with others and how good it makes us feel, there is scientific proof about why this happens. The hormone oxytocin is released into the bloodstream and gives us a sense of trust, relaxation, exhilaration and psychological well-being. That is why we LOVE to talk with one another--it's actually good for us.
I hold each of you in my heart and am so very grateful we are here on the Earth at the same time. As we are each blessed, we become a blessing to others.
Let's continue to expand our consciousness and sense of connection together.
Love, honor, respect,
